Awarenessy: An Android App for Visualizing Privacy on Smart Phones

Smartphones constantly generate data. In addition to the obvious data that results from the active use of the smartphone, much data is generated in the background which is not apparent to the user. Most users do not know about this matter. Especially smartphones contain private data like messages, contacts and the current location of the user. Therefore it is the aim of this bachelor thesis to develop an app that makes the user more aware about the data smartphones are generating. The app called Awarenessy logs, stores and visualizes this data and shows which private data is accessible by different apps.
