Eagle Eye: Face Detection in OwnCloud

Goal of this bachelor thesis is the extension of the open source cloud storage platform OwnCloud (similar to DropBox) which currently provides a rudimentary photo gallery. In the course of this thesis, EXIF data is read from the images and the user is provided with search facilities based on the extracted data. Based on the extracted information, deduplication mechanisms are implemented. In a second step, face detection algorithms are implemented enabling an automatic annotation of images with the people pictured on the according image. A modular architecture enables an easy extension of the application.
