Development of a Web-based Information Management System for the Tyrolean Avalanche Warning Service

To publish the current avalanche reports the avalanche warning service uses information from different sources. The most important points are the details on daily weather, snow and avalanche observations from employed observers and additional reports of descents of avalanches from volunteers. Mobile access to the data is very important for the team of the avalanche warning service. Therefore the access over a web browser should be enabled.
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to develop a server-sided interface to store and manage the aforementioned. Additionally a Web client should be used to enable the submission and the access of the data to simplify the current workflow. Especially the editing of pictures (cut, copyright, and water mark) should be possible in the browser to publish reports without additional software.
