Evaluation of Open Source Analysing Tools For Data Warehouse Systems

Data warehouse systems gain more and more importance in large concerns and even in smaller ones. They also appeal more and more to private users. This can easily be seen in the huge amount of upcoming open source Tools. This bachelor thesis deals especially with the analysis components that can be integrated in a powerful data warehouse system. This work concentrates on freely available open source tools.
It first gives some basic description about a data warehouse itself, followed by some techniques concerning data analysis. The main focus lies on the tools itself. So five of the most used analysis tools are being evaluated. Thereby a comprehensive description about the functionalities is given, including counterexamples.
