This bachelor thesis aims to extend a web-based, automated settlement system for a coffee machine. This system is realized via a industrial communication interface that allows to gather statistics on coffee consumption and users' account balances. In this thesis, the communication between the appliance and the server is extended to Internet-of-Things devices. Furthermore, RFID authentication of users will implemented. On the server side, the application will be severely updated and extendability and maintainability will be improved. Also, user groups will be introduced to allow for statistics and data aggregated per user groups.
