The task of text segmentation is to devide a document, which covers more than one topic, into its di?erent topics. Since the 1990s the ?field of Natural Language Processing has been improved and di?fferent approaches emerged. This paper summarizes and compares six of these algorithms and presents an overview of the current state of the art of text segmentation algorithms.
